How to make SMASH Burgers on the Blackstone Griddle - Everyday BBQ
SMASH Burgers
on the Blackstone Griddle
Recipe:
I have to say that
we REALLY enjoyed these! I was cooking
for a family of five here, you can adjust ingredient quantities to your
needs. You can do these many ways,
here's what I did:
Ingredients:
- 3 Lbs. Ground Beef
- 2 Thinly Sliced Onions
- 1 small package of Sliced Mushrooms
- Fresh Deli American Cheese slices
- BACON!
- Your favorite burger seasoning (I used Lawry's Garlic Salt)
Directions:
- WASH YOUR HANDS FIRST!
- In an adequate bowl, add ground beef and seasoning, then mix gently but do NOT over mix! You just want to get the seasoning mixed in. Form meatballs approximately 1/4-1/3 pound each.
- Preheat your griddle to low-med heat.
- Cook your onions, mushrooms and bacon to your liking. Once done, keep them warm while you cook the burgers.
- Scrape griddle surface to remove excess grease.
- Place meatballs on griddle surface and leave adequate space in between so there's room to smash them down once they're ready.
- After approximately 1-2 minutes, smash each burger down and hold for a few seconds as demonstrated in the video. This gives an even better sear as well as nice crunchy edges! YUMMY!
- Once burgers have reached your desired doneness, top each patty with cheese.
- BUILD YOUR BURGER AND ENJOY!!!
I added some
toppings to mine and melted the cheese on top all on the griddle but you can do
it any way you like.
